Let’s face it: over the Fall and Winter months, your patio probably took a beating. Even if you covered of put away your outdoor furniture, the windy, rainy, snowy weather can really do a number on your wood, concrete and ceramic patios. So now that Spring is here, how do you revitalize your patio and make sure it looks great in time for Summer? Here are some tips:

-Put your furniture away in the Fall! Let’s face it, you are probably not going to use your deck furniture in the Winter, why would you want to keep your nice chairs, tables and benches out all Winter taking a beating from the elements? Either cover your furniture, put it in the garage, or build a storage shed.
-Make sure to look over your patio furniture for damage or rust, repair and repaint as necessary. One dirty, ugly piece of furniture can make your entire patio setup look trashy.
-If you have a concrete patio, there are likely small cracks that were created in it during the Winter season; maybe even large ones. Make sure you fill in these cracks with epoxy, mix it with sand so that it looks right, and then sand or smooth it on top. Then use a concrete sealant to seal over the concrete on your patio, this will help prevent more unsightly cracks in the future.
